I just came back from Sunday brunch with my parents. I love Sunday brunch! I love breakfast! My husband's away for a day and I miss him like crazy already. But I'm going to keep myself occupied. Cream puffs and cakes are waiting for me downstairs, yumm I'm going to savour 'em all while watching Nona on TV3. Why? Because our house is featured in this episode. Haha. And in next week's episode, insya Allah our wedding will be featured as well. I'm definitely going to hide under the big pillows. Please please don't air the interview. You know how people 'gain' weight when they appear on TV? Gosh, I can't imagine how I'd look like.
Talking about cakes and whatnots, I've been bringing food from home to the office because my friend found a baby cockroach in her plate of rice last week!! It came from one of the dishes that she took. My guess is that it was part of the sambal ikan because the 'baby' was covered in sambal. Ewww!! Now I seriously have an issue with our cafeteria. I'm not sure if she's going to do anything about it but if I were in her place, don't expect me to be quiet. I can be very short-tempered when it comes to lousy service. I'm also very particular about food hygiene. I will never let anyone get away with it. I'm very much like those people who rage on the roads, but I rage against lousy service. Big time. So, don't mess with me restaurants and cafes! (But I know not to rage before I get my food or else I'd be having 'extras' in my dish kan? I know this for a fact because my husband used to work part-time at a restaurant after SPM and he told me lots of disgusting stories..hehe) So I've resorted to bringing food from home whenever I can. Or else I'd just go out and eat. But I don't have that much time these days to go out during lunch hour. Heck for a few days in a row now I didn't even get a 'lunch hour'. It was all work work work. It's a very busy time of the year for us in this Division. And I have two Bills to my name this time around so I've gotta work hard. Yes, "Mr.P" is just around the corner so the P is going to be my second home in a week's time. Okay I don't want to talk about work on a Sunday! Don't remind me of the madness just yet please, I'm going to enjoy one day at a time and deal with tomorrow tomorrow. It's very convenient to bring food in the 'gourmet thermal' thing because it keeps your food warm throughout the day! And it's such a big thrill to eat straight from the thermal/tupperware rather than eating from a dirty plate. There are still a few stalls in the cafe that are okay, I guess, but I will not go to that one stall anymore. Hish, the sight of that 'thing' on her plate is still fresh in my mind, even though it was just a 'baby' *shivers* Please be careful, everyone.
Have a great Sunday and don't let my story spoil your lunch. :)
