royale lunch

Hello all! I've been trying to upload pictures in fb but to no avail. It's so frustrating! So, for those of you yang I hutang February pictures, please wait a little while. Blame fb for the delay.

The long weekend is coming to an end. What a bummer. Life goes on. ;p We hung out at my in-laws' place on Friday, after a quick haircut and lunch at Sari Ratu. I think ayam pop is so freakin' addictive! But my husband seems to think that the food is so-so. It was his first time there while I've been to the one in Jakarta numerous times. The es teler in Jakarta is still the best. It was such a hot and humid Friday. I became restless and had to take a nap - which was a total mistake because I woke up feeling like I was in a sauna. I'm not really a 'nap' person, so I usually don't nap in the afternoon or evening. And when I do, I'd be really moody when I wake up. Haha. Uh-oh. Thank God it rained a little before Maghrib and my husband (ok, don't be annoyed, I just love that word because at the same time, it's a reality check for me as well, like, hey, I'm married!!) ((trust me, it's not that easy to believe it just yet)) offered to take me to Pavilion. Yesss! Just what I needed. A little shopping (albeit just a RM1 hairclip) and a cold drink shifted my mood completely and I was a happy, comfortable bird again. One of the things I love most about married life, is the fact that the day never ends for us. There is no need for him to send me back when the night is over. No curfews. No goodbyes. One day after another, it's like a continuous cycle. It's not a 'new day'. It's just us. Living, continuing our lives constantly next to each other. There's no reason to rush. :)

As mentioned before, Atong's reception was on Saturday. It was held in Malacca. We pushed off from my in-laws' place and reached there about 1pm. The couple was just about to go into the hall. I'm glad I came just in the nick of time. We became part of her entourage but we were terrible, as we ate the moment we got into the hall instead of waiting with the rest of her family. ;p Atong sang one M.Nasir song for the bride, it was such a sweet sight to see her blush. Hehe. They're such a cute couple! I was the one yang terharu when he sang that song...over kan. I'm just way too happy for them and again, congratulations Jaja, I wish you all the happiness in the world!!! If I could I would put all things 'happy' in one box, seal it and give it to you as the perfect wedding present. That's how much I want you to be happy. I had to leave soon after the singing because, ok hold your breath, I had some urgent work to do to be submitted via email that night itself. Haha, out of all the days, it had to be on that Saturday. I wish I could've stayed longer...but at least I made it to Malacca. It's better than not being there for her at all.

And today, I had lunch/hi-tea with my soulsisters at the Royale Chulan hotel. The hotel is big! Surprisingly, there were not that many people around. Even at the restaurant. But anyway, I love the buffett spread! Everything was delicious! Actually, I didn't even try all the dishes because there were just too many but everything that I tried was yummylicious. I would most definitely bring my husband there. And of course we stayed for hours, just exchanging stories. ;p (a decent way of saying 'gossiping') Oh actually, it was an all-wives' outing because Ayu couldn't make it. (She's the only one single and available). So, extra stories to share! Haha.

I just got back from a seafood dinner with my family. I'm so round and full. Serious I can't even put a mint in my mouth. Too much. Sigh, I need to get some rest and be all geared up for work tomorrow. Goodnight. :)

haha yes, it's our hantaran from both sides. the actual colour is cream/off white roses but in print, nampak macam yellow. :)
