2. Vouchers (Parkson, Aussino, spa, anything! Even Topshop, Delicious or the likes of it...hehe)
3. Pots and pans
4. Toaster
5. Iron (preferably steam iron ;p)
6. Vacuum cleaner
7. Kitsch tamble lamp
8. Lawn mower (a simple one will do)
9. Bedding set
10. Towels
11. Kitchen utensils
12. Pinggan mangkuk (nice cheap ones at IKEA)
13. Cutleries
14. Huge funky mirrors (damask ones are so expensive)
15. Photo frames
16. Colourful throw pillows
17. Toilet carpet set
I hope the list helps. Because I have had people asking me what I would like as a wedding gift. But there's no compulsion or whatsoever. It's all up to you. One thing I know that I would not want you to buy for us is crystal. Anything crystal - vases etc. It's expensive and yet not so practical for us. Might as well you get me something practical right? Basically, I would really appreciate household items or home deco items as I will be staying on my own after the wedding. Thank you very much and I can't wait to see you all in about what....16 days?!

F.L.O.W.E.R
The girls wanted to take me out and so I agreed. I knew it was going to be an outing to celebrate my last 20 days as a bachelorette but I didn’t know the extent of the celebration. Or the sort of trouble they had to go through just to make it happen. So I happily went to Pavilion with the girls. At first, I really thought we were going to Red Box as we were heading in that direction...when suddenly they made a detour and went straight into Kenko Fish Spa! Fish spa? Me? I’ve never tried it before so that was my very first time. Jaja did warn me in the car that I have to be a little adventurous and I thought that maybe we would all go rock climbing. I have never even considered a fish spa! It did not cross my mind at all. I was told that they signed us all up for a package of reflexology, back massage followed by the fish thingy. I was game for the first two! Hehe. It was so expensive. I still feel bad until today. We could’ve just done the fish thingy and hunt for some food and I would’ve been pretty happy already. But no, they just had to outdo everyone by throwing in the reflex and massage as well. I was and still am extremely touched. It was my first time doing reflex too, so I thought I was going to be all ticklish and annoying but I enjoyed it! The back massage goes without saying lah kan, just what I needed to knead all my shoulder pains away. Then came the highlight of it all, the fish spa itself. Jaja and Farah successfully dipped their feet into the water whereas yours truly and Faizah were sore losers. I mean, I did try for like, one minute and then I chickened out. It was scary lah! I tried to force Faizah by shoving her leg into the water and assuring her that it’s ok, it’s nothing (yes, suruh orang sendiri takut). Lesson of the day? No fish spa for me and Faizah. Ever again. :) Hehe. But it was so nice to get to experience it. If not for them, I would never have tried it.
Once we were done with it, I thought we were going to have dinner. But no, the girls said, there’s another surprise! Guess what they did? They set me up for a makeover session at Stage! How very original is that? I would never have thought of that. I guess they know me so well to know that I love make up and I love being made up. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! The funny thing was, during the back massage session, I mentioned to the girls that they should’ve warned me we were gonna have massages and what-not, I would’ve come prepared with my make up kit for touch up. Rupa-rupanya I didn’t need my make up kit because they had an idea a million times better than that. It couldn’t have been more perfectly planned than that. I love some of the items they put on my face so I’m definitely going to head to Pavilion again soon to buy some of the things.
When the make up session ended, I thought ok, that’s it. Dinner? Yeap, I was right on that part but I was wrong on the location. We had to leave Pavilion for dinner. I was like “Where are we going?? Where are you girls taking me??” I mean, kenapa susah payah plan somewhere else when we could’ve just had dinner anywhere in the mall. But no. Again, they just had to surprise me again and again by bringing me to one of my favourite restaurants – Delicious. Yes, we’ve always dined at Delicious. But this time, they took me to the one at Dua Annexe. I’ve never been to that branch before so I was very excited. I knew that the food was gonna be good too. As I entered the restaurant, situated at one secluded corner of the restaurant, I saw a table with six chairs, and lots of pink balloons with grey ribbons around it. Why oh why do I have such amazing friends? I’ve never had a surprise do before. I mean, I’ve had surprise presents and all that but never a party or in this case, a day full of ‘surprise’ activities. It was a first for me. So it was indeed very, very special. Din and Bats waited for me there so they were also part of the surprise. Hehe. Din got me a super duper cute pink veil that I LOVEEEEE so much – even though I look very 80’s wearing it. Everyone was totally looking! Tapi tak kisah. We ate and ate and then came the next surprise...a super delicious chocolate cake. It wasn’t from Delicious. Gotta ask Neesa where she ordered it from. It was so good, really! Delicious staff took a picture of us and developed it immediately and gave it to us in a nice blue paper frame.
After the plates were cleared, came the finale, the icing on the cake, the biggest, sweetest surprise of it all...a scrap book. Made from scratch and I’m sure, made with lots of love. I was indeed on the brim of tears. I’m a big fan of notebooks and scrap books. I’ve never received a personalized one and this scrap book is my first. Lots of firsts for me. Memang, I didn’t expect any of it. Never in a million years. Everything was totally out of this world for me. Too much, just too much love.
I know I sound totally...off. But it’s true. I’ve never felt more special. Terharu, touched semua tu is an understatement. Din, the runner. He went from one place to another to put the deco together. He took care of the accessories – the sash, the pink veil. And carried tons of balloons into the restaurant to do his thang. I know it took a whole big chunk of his public holiday and it must have taken lots of courage and confidence to pull it all off. He went the extra mile and it was all for me! Siapa tak terharu please? Jaja and Farah, the two girls who picked me up from home. I definitely felt like a princess. Hehe. They’re the cutest. They claimed that there were a few times they nearly gave the surprise away but I didn’t notice it. Thanks for spending the day with me. I know both of you are super busy. I appreciate the ride and the effort of trying to keep everything under wraps. (sampai Farah kena pukul!) Faizah, the early bird. She was the first to arrive and kept calling the girls. She led the way for us, our guide. Ha, she was good at keeping mum...so I didn’t suspect a thing. Even after we were done at Kenko Spa, and she zoomed off to our next location, I still did not suspect anything. Bats, the girl who made sure I went back home safe and sound. She was also very busy that day, hence she couldn’t join us earlier...but still, she made time for me, for us. Gosh I love them all to bits!
And to the person responsible for everything – Hanisa. They told me what you did. They told me how you planned everything for me. Every single detail. And yes, as I’m typing this, finally the tears have dropped. All because of you and everything that you did and how because of you too, everyone came together. And the book...that special lil book that you made for me. That must’ve taken a lot of your time - to cut the pieces of paper, print out the words, paste it on the paper, develop the pictures – so much work on top of your already heavy workload. I feel inadequate as a friend and that I don’t deserve this much love from everyone. And yet at the same time I feel truly indebted to you, Neesa, and to everyone who executed her plans. What’s definitely more touching is the fact that you knew you wouldn’t be around to enjoy what you’ve planned for us and yet, you made sure that WE all had fun. You’re definitely a girl with a big, big heart. Of course it would’ve been perfect if you were there. But your name tak pernah lekang from our mouths throughout the day “Neesa would’ve loved this” “Take lots of pics for Neesa” “Neesa will be disappointed to see the quality of our pictures” “You don’t know what Neesa went through to get things done” “She slept late to finish up the book” “Let’s tag Neesa in this picture” “Neesa mesti marah I tak masukkan kaki dalam air”...and so so so many more. Don’t worry Neesa, everything was perfect. But then again, that’s no surprise, considering that everything came from somebody so EFF, backed by a bunch of other EFF people. So of course it was perfect perfect perfect.
Thank God for wonderful friends. Thank God I found each and every one of you. You guys have been there for me - from failed relationships to achievements to my down falls and to in a way, match-making me with Zaki. Without your support, assistance (ehem, yes Faizah I remember the strategy we used to find out if he had a girlfriend or not) and encouragement, I don’t know what or who I’d be right now. Yes I am about to enter a new phase in my life but I’m bringing every single one of you with me (whether you like it or not). Because I need all of you. I still need my support system. I still need someone to stay silent on the other line while I cry my heart out on the phone. I still need a random favour or two. I still need a bunch of people to annoy. I still need friends that are forever. And you guys are forever. Friendship Like Ours Will Eternally Remain. The bride-to-be loves everyone too!
(By the way, that old picture of me is so unflattering Neesa ;p)

the moment I met you...
Ok, maybe that’s not entirely true. I had other thoughts when I first met you. Hehe. Today, I’ll share with my readers our story. A story of who I was before I met him, the first time we met and who I’ve become since he entered my life. I’ve always considered myself as a different person now, than before. Maybe others can’t tell the difference but I know I’m different. Whoever knew me pre-20 years old, would be surprised to know me now. I am not who I used to be. I am better. For the most part, I have wisdom and maturity to be thankful for. But I cannot deny how our relationship helped shape me into this person that I’m so comfortable with right now too. I guess the saying is true; you have to meet all the wrong ones first, before you meet the right one for you. Back then, I didn’t know much. I was more naive than anybody my age. I was oblivious. How easily I let them get away with toying with my feelings. People would take advantage if you’re weak. And I was weak. Maybe I didn’t do much when things happened because I was too young to understand how relationships work. And everyone else knew how to play the game except me. I was the perfect victim. But of course, anybody can spin a story to suit his or her liking. I was clueless on a lot of things, I didn’t have a sense of style, I didn’t know how to apply make-up, I didn’t know how to retaliate, how to stand up for myself, how to fight back. All I knew was how to whimper and hide. And accept defeat. I was clingy and scared, always thirsty for acceptance and made do with whatever came my way. Until I met him.
The first vivid memory that I have of him is our Kesatria days, when we were in Part 2 BLS. Oh yeah he was right there all along when we were in Part 1 but because we didn’t have any common lecture or tutorial classes, our paths did not cross, at all. Amazing but true. It was a hot day and we had Kesatria practice as usual. Those who participated in the kawad wakil faculty were practicing and those who weren’t involved had to squat/sit by the side. I noticed him because he was the only guy in the group who did not participate in the kawad. It was so funny and everyone was teasing him for being one of the girls. I remember how he looked SO uncomfortable and rasanya kalau boleh gali lubang, he would’ve wanted to put his head in the hole! Hehe. He had this super clean look at that time, and I thought he was a bit ‘jambu’, plus the fact that he didn’t participate in the march made him look a little too, sissy for me. Not long after that day, my very good friend, Din, asked me about him and whether I knew this guy from our batch named Zaki. We were chatting online at that time and when I said I have no idea who Zaki was, he sent me a picture. Din mentioned how he’s orang utara too, just like me. Was that what you said exactly Din? I can’t really remember except the fact that you mentioned his name and gave me his picture for no reason at all! I took no interest because the picture wasn’t exactly his best shot. Hehe.
But then, THAT day came. In Part 2, we were in the same lecture and tutorial groups. One of it was, we had Mr.Choy’s English class together. I was already seated right in front of the class (as usual, skema). He was late (as usual, too) and when he walked into the class, I turned around and saw him. He was wearing a purple shirt. And right there and then, I think at that moment he stole my heart. I have no idea why the attraction was just so so so strong at that time. It was as though I’ve been imprinted. (Twilight language). My cheeks felt hot and my friend commented that I was blushing. It was so embarrassing and that was the first time, I really SAW him. In a different light. From that day onwards, I was like a love-struck kid. I even volunteered to be the class rep for Constitutional Law II just so that I’d have a reason to talk to him in class. Kelakar tak! And every time masuk kelas, sure control tak ingat dunia. You can guess that it was still at the very beginning of the semester when it happened. So a few weeks passed by with me acting all silly like that. After a while, thanks to my friends, some people found out about the “crush” and so conveniently mentioned it to him. Much to my horror (and delight?)! And well well well, here’s his side of the story upon being told that a particular girl named ‘yours truly’ had a crush on him (oh so high school please!). He CLAIMED that he was so pleasantly surprised because he too, had a crush on me. In fact, on several occasions, he asked his friends about me and my background. Once, they even drove by my house! Creepy. He said that he first noticed me in Part 1, when we all had to sit for a common paper, Law of Contract’s mid term test. But he was apparently too shy to approach me thinking that I would never entertain a guy like him *insert filem Antara Dua Darjat* He said that even after his friend told him of that good news *ehem*, he was still unsure as when we met in class, I acted like he didn’t even exist and was still as aloof as ever. He even double checked with his friends that there’s only one girl by the name of ‘yours truly’. So anyway, despite all the malu-malu kucing, he asked for my number from my friend and gathered the courage to...bukan call me, but MISS-CALLED me. Boleh tak? But I knew it was him because I pun dah save his number. (In fact, once, me and Bats called him up from Sunway Pyramid’s phone booth and did a prank call! I asked Bats to ask him whether dia penjual karipap tak. Bodoh takkk.) HAHAHA. However I pretended that I didn’t know who he was and text messaged him asking “Who’s this?” Oh myyyy, so childish and funny kan. I remember his reply was.. “I’m not sure la Nadira, I think I had a concussion”. Hehe. That was our first ever contact. And finally a few days later, he gave me a proper phone call. I remember our first phone call. I was at my tailor’s in Subang and he was taking a break from some ceramah in UiTM. It was short but it gave me so much happiness and thrill. After that, his phone calls were regular. But we still acted like strangers in class! Until one day he asked me out on our first date ever!
Our first date wasn’t very conventional either. On that day, I was expecting my new car (re:the red Jazz) and when the car arrived, I went to Shah Alam to pick him up! On our first date! So gentleman kan? I’ve always said that I’m the boy in the relationship and he’s the girl. Off we went to our first ever destination together – Sunway Pyramid. We didn’t do anything in particular, we just walked about and chatted like long lost best friends. We didn’t even eat. We stopped for some pretzels (I ordered mineral water sahaja, thank you) and that was it. Both of us were wearing black, we must have looked like the perfect couple. So basically, that outing broke the ice and we had several more dates after that on weekends. Our first movie together was Vanity Fair. Our favourite hang-out spot pre-couple was Burger King.
I remember how I felt the first few weeks. He made me happy, he made me laugh and most importantly, I was able to BE MYSELF around him. Of course I had my ‘shy’ moments and I wasn’t always chatty or talkative but I was opening up to him. And then came the ‘proposal’ one night. We had a dinner date, and afterwards, we parked the car by the road side and watched fireworks together. That’s why I used to call him my Mr.Fireworks. Because at the early stages of our relationship, we encountered so many beautiful fireworks. There was a Chinese celebration going on. It was lovely! After that he dropped me off at home and came in for a while. That was when IT happened. The moment we decided to make our ‘relationship’ official. 24th February 2005. I said yes almost immediately, nampak gelojoh sungguh, but well, I was having way too much fun to worry about WH questions.
So let me fast forward and recap our years together.
2005-2006: Our first year together. Everything was sweet. We would go out whenever we could, usually for one whole day and mall-hop like crazy. Everything was possible, dia pun baik je, ikuttttt je whatever I wanted. Perhaps he was trying to please me. Hehe. But we also had miscommunication problems. Sometimes he’d assume this and that, and I’d assume this and that, because we didn’t know each other’s characteristics, quirks and style. We were eager, trying too hard to be perfect and still learning new things about each other.
2006-2007: Second year was better. Our relationship was more stable. We were inseparable. I remember he worked part time during the semester break just so that he could get me a very bling bling JLo watch. Terharu gila. I wore it everyday to class sampai dah lunyai. And I used to brave the lunch hour traffic at Mid Valley just to see him for an hour. An hour ok! Rindunyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
2007-2008: Third year was the toughest. For reasons that I don’t even know. Somehow things were pretty tense, expectations were high, misunderstandings occurred every other day. It wasn’t smooth sailing at all. Of course this ‘hot season’ didn’t happen for one whole year, I’m just highlighting the major thing that made the year different, that’s all. I think it went on for a few months. We could survive not seeing each other for days, which was crazy lah kan! Cuba sekarang! It’s not that we don’t love each other...so it still bothers me now why things happened the way it did that year. That ‘phase’. The scary itch. Thank God we made it through.
2008-2009: Fourth year. HAPPINESS! See, tiba-tiba je we were back on track. I think all we needed was just some ‘me’ time. Ye ke? But I don’t want no me time now! Haha. I love 2008. The year that I confirmed with my heart that I’m going to be with this guy forever. We had so much fun together, laughed a whole lot too. I was sure that not only do I want him but I NEED him to be next to me always and in my life forever. Lovesick year. Full stop. :)
2009-2010: Fifth year. Ok, although officially we are not yet 5 but we are approaching our fifth year ‘anniversary’ together in a couple of months. 2009 started with him being transferred to Kedah. That is by far, the biggest thing I had to deal with. Long distance has always been my nemesis. I thought I would never make it through but I did! It isn’t so bad, really. Of course 2009 is very special and sweet in its own way. It started with the ‘decision’, merisik and engagement. This is the year we decided to take the relationship to a whole new level. One step further. A brave step. Honestly, I still can’t believe I’m engaged and soon to be married. Even when I look at the pictures I sometimes see a different person smiling back at me. Is this really happening? It’s so beautiful and magical that I find it hard to believe that I’m living my dream.
2010 onwards, would be a new chapter in our lives. I will be his wife and he will be my husband. Ohmygod, just typing those words make me squirm in my seat. Haha. I AM EXCITED but I’m also a nervous wreck! Come on, this is marriage we’re talking about, don’t tell me you’re not nervous and scared and have butterflies in your tummy all day long! Ok lah if you’re the calm and composed type but I’m a Miss-Worry. The famous jitters – it’s here. All in all, Alhamdulilah, we have not faced any major crisis throughout our years together although I’m not going to pretend that everything is rosy and picture-perfect all the time, because it isn’t and everybody knows that. I need to trust that my man is loyal, because loyalty has become my main criteria. And he fits the bill. I need to be able to be myself, because I don’t ever want to pretend that I don’t know the lyrics to all of Slam’s previous hits when I actually do. And he sings along with me. I need to have a simple man by my side, because I can’t live with the pressure of keeping up with someone’s taste. And he’s simple. I need someone who loves me because I’m not cool, because my shoes don’t match my clothes, because I’m a nerd, because I have insecurities, because I’m pretty and because I’m not, because I’m a chameleon. I feel it in my heart that we are perfect for each other. I hope God has a similar idea about us. May He bless our good intentions always. Amin.
This is only the prelude. :)

thursday evening
Example. What I witnessed yesterday.
I was on my way back from work on the Federal Highway. It was raining. A taxi broke down near one of the exit junctions. It was obstructing traffic on the road leading to that junction. One lone Malay man, the taxi driver, was trying to push his car to the side of the road. One Indian man, on a motorcycle, made a halt next to the taxi, got down from his motorcycle, and helped the taxi driver push the car. The car was finally by the side of the road. Traffic cleared.
The Indian man was wet enough already. He didn’t have to stop but he did. He must’ve been on his way to find some shelter or to put on a raincoat. But he stopped to help. While the rest of us, warm and comfortable in our cars, did nothing.
What’s sweeter, is the fact that there is absolutely no racial boundaries between us. Us, the ordinary Joes. When politicians politicize too much on racial issues, I don’t believe in them. Because I’ve witnessed too many heartwarming incidences to have faith in this word called ‘unity’. Just the other day I was at a petrol station and saw an Indian man greeting a pak lebai (complete with a white jubah and janggut panjang). They joked with one another and the Indian man good-naturedly patted the lebai’s back.
I have no intention to emphasize on racial unity or One Malaysia or whatever. Because my blog is not serious like that. I want to highlight the first story. A story which is clearly of no significance but for the fact that it tugged my heart, for one apparent reason. I need to be more helpful and kind to others. Especially to those in need. I could do so much, in my capacity, to help people. But I’m always complaining about the things I lack, about the hours I need to work…when clearly, all I need to do is be more grateful. Obviously the man on the motorcycle is the better person that I could only strive to be. I’m not even close. Are you?

chubby mother chicken
I know, my entries are now scarce. I’ve been in Parly for a couple of days now, on standby mode. But now ‘I got timeeee’ to update my blog. :) My first hen nite was last Saturday. Well, I don’t know if you can call it a hen nite because we’ve always celebrated each other’s ‘last day’ of singlehood in our own way. In my case, it was my ‘last month’ being single. The reason we moved forward the celebration was because everyone won’t be around in December. So better early than never right? As per tradition, we had a sleep over and this time around, we chose Le Meridien KL. Bachelorette dinner at Hilton KL – now that place is beautiful and chilly. Ok it was chilly because it rained but to me, the weather was near perfect. Except that it drizzled a little towards the end. We had dinner and chatted. And then, the real party started. I feel like giggling just thinking about it. Out of respect towards my tudung-clad friends, no pictures of the ‘after party’ will be shown to public. Haha. Duhh~ The pictures that we took will only be for personal use and for the eyes of their respective husbands. I learned a whole lot from them, the experienced ones. All sorts of tips were shared. I used to feel left out, being the last to get married (excluding Ayu please, she’s still a baby!) but now I think I’m the lucky one because I get to learn from their ‘mistakes’. Huhu. We all had so much fun!! Most importantly, I am so touched that the mummies left their babies behind to spend the weekend with me. I’m sure it was a huge sacrifice on their part and I truly appreciate their time and effort. Worry not girls, I love everything about the weekend. The ‘special’ doorgifts, the ‘theme’, the sexy gift, the deco, semua semua! Thank you. Love love. It ended too soon kan, I wish we could do it again and again. I can never get bored with you guys!
And, Alhamdulilah, my leave has been approved. :) I’m ecstatic!! Something else has also been approved so I’m all set! I know you could probably tell what kind of person I am by now. I am definitely not a procrastinator kan? I like to get things out of the way as soon as possible. So once I’m done with that I can concentrate on other things. Hmm, everything feels so good now.

tech support
Dear Tech Support,
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend to Husband and noticed a distinct slowdown in overall system performance -- particularly in the flower and jewellery applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend.
In addition, Husband uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance and Personal Attention and then installed undesirable programs such as Super 14; Fishing; Football and Golf Clubs.
Conversation no longer runs, and Housecleaning simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging to fix these problems, but to no avail.
What can I do?
Signed, Desperate
......................................................................
Dear Desperate,
First keep in mind, Boyfriend is an Entertainment Package, while Husband is an Operating System.
Please enter the command: 'http: I Thought You Loved Me.html' and try to download Tears and don't forget to install the Guilt update. If that application works as designed, Husband should then automatically run the applications Jewellery and Flowers.
But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband to default to Grumpy Silence, Happy Hour or Beer.
Beer is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.
Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources). Also, do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend program.. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband.
In summary, Husband is a great system, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance.
We recommend Food and Hot Lingerie..
Good Luck, Tech Support.
i will follow you
Haha. What a dramatic intro. Ok, maybe not a ‘stalker’ in the true sense of the word but what’s the closest-next-best-equivalent? I can only describe it as stalker-ish. Real hardcore stalkers probably stalk because they’re obsessed with a person or they have crazy erotic dreams about that person at night or they’re even plotting to kill someone! Celebrities have stalkers. But do normal-ordinary-kosong human beings like us have stalkers? Oh, you would be surprised.
(By the way this is not a personal experience, I’m just sharing my friend’s plight. When it’s me, it’s me. When it’s not, it’s not) I think a friend of mine has a stalker. Or at least, a stalker-ish ‘friend’. To begin with, she’s not even a ‘friend’. She’s just my friend’s partner’s ex. Let’s call her K. So they made friends. I’m not sure who initiated the move but they made friends lah basically. And then comes the mother of all modern-time evil, facebook. At first, it was subtle. But after a while, it became so obvious, so irritating, so suffocating that almost everyone (but the stalker) realized it! What happened? Well, first, K commented incessantly on my friend’s page. An occasional comment here and there would be totally normal but this person, commented on every.single.thing. Status jangan cakap lah, the minute my friend changed her status, K will comment and her comment is not just a one liner, it’s a whole paragraph sampai kena tekan Read More. Every single time without fail. And you know how sometimes in FB you do quizzes or play games and you get to publish your results? She will comment on that too. And a big chunk of the comments would be a COMPARISON or to put it bluntly, to show-off. For example, I said something about eating sushi. That person went Ohh I just had sushi yesterday at yadayada it’s so delicious it’s so expensive. Whoever cares? This is just a simple example. Then comes the photo albums. The moment my friend uploaded her photos, the comments would come pouring in on every single picture. And don’t worry, commentary semua cukup. It’s not weird if you’re best friends or genuine friends but if you’re not really ‘friends’, why bother?
Shifting a little from our topic above, is there really a need to compete? With anyone? When I was in Uni, my friends and I compete with each other all the time for exams. We would study together and help each other understand the subject better but when it comes to the exams, it’s just you and your answer booklet. And we wanted to know our friends’ results and who fared better, who scored highest and etc. But we don’t hate that person. We are competitive yes but it’s a healthy kinda competition. It’s the kind of competitiveness that will drive you to do better in your studies. That’s a good kind of competition. But I’m seeing and hearing a new, worrying trend where people (girls especially) compete on almost everything else in life. For example, if X just threw a birthday bash last month, Y (yang tak pernah buat birthday party) will have her own birthday bash this month too, only on a larger scale. This includes everything, theme, doorgifts, decorations etc. And nowadays it’s not just birthday parties, it’s baby showers, aqiqah, hen nite, engagement, wedding, everything. Or even if you’re not bothered by what others are doing, some ‘bad influence’ in your life would say things like “ehh have you seen Miss X’s aqiqah? Theme dia floating in the sky, everything was floating..what’s yours like? What’s the doorgift? What’s the theme?”. And let’s not even start on other things such as shoes, bags, jewelleries. Designer bags, nothing less. Of course who would say no to luxurious things but what kind of satisfaction do you get if you were to buy things ‘just because somebody else’ got one too? I would suggest that in whatever you do, whatever item you decide to buy, you have to buy it because you really want it and not for the sake of ‘keeping up’ or competing with anybody. After all, most of the time that somebody tu oblivious pun yang you’re silently competing with her. Set your own standard. Everybody has his or her limit.
Another thing is getting your partners to buy things for you. I know people would say “it’s my business lah if my partner wants to buy me things, you’re just jealous”. It’s totally okay if he can afford it and he’s the kind who loves to lavish you with things. But when you start assuming that everybody else is like you, it’s just not cool man! Some people have a notion that that we can’t afford to buy things just because we don’t have a rich man by our side. Hello, welcome to the modern world. Nowadays, women work for a living and we have our own money to spend, thanks. I would never ask my fiancĂ© to buy me things unless he volunteers. In fact, I have never asked him for anything throughout our years together. If I want something, I’ll just get it myself. I’m sure many women out there are like that too so stop being stereotypical.
And then comes my wedding preparation. I’ve done my paperwork. So that’s a huge chunk of ‘problem’ off my shoulders. It’s not as difficult as how some people claim it to be. Mine was quite smooth and I finished it all in a day. And then comes everything else. The cards are here. Hmm..so many things to do. It’s a little tiring isnt’ it? And yet at the end of the day, you know it will all be worth it. I know it’s worth it because our love deserves nothing less than perfection. That’s how I look at it. It’s not about wanting to outdo anybody, it’s not a competition. For me, it’s about celebrating the love that we’ve sowed for almost five years, it’s about celebrating our ups and downs, it’s about celebrating the fact that after all that we’ve been through, we will become one. It’s pure, it’s precious and it’s sincere. I want only the best to reflect my love for him. Yes, it is a reflection of how much I treasure what we have. And that is all. Personally, I think if you have a ‘couldn’t care less’ attitude about your big day, then it somehow shows how you don’t treat your relationship as something special or something that is worthy of your time and attention. Itu je.
Sumpah this is such a long entry. Hahaha.

When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.

babysitting dani for the night
Today is a very happy day for me after a rough week. Next week is going to be another mad week, even though I will be on leave for two days out of five (!!) but I’ve got so many things to do, at work and at home. I received my Diploma in Translation today at Melia Hotel KL. They organized a mini graduation ceremony for us. So cute. It was just a super short ceremony. The hotel served lunch and I had mini cakes. Gosh, sumpah I love mini cakes. I love cakes and I’ve been wanting to eat mini cakes tuuu. Puas. I took a plateful of it. Nyam nyam. Anywayyy, it really made my day. (The graduation I mean, not the cakes)
Something pink, something red, something black (something blue and something borrowed?) also made me happy. Good. Keep it coming! :)

just checkin' on myself
Q: Welcome back! Where have you been?
A: Was I ever away? Did I ever say that I was going anywhere? No? So what’s with the where’ve you been.
Q: Ohh okay, I was just asking out of courtesy and manners. After all you’re the one who’s so hung up about the whole ‘respect’ thingy...
A: True. Anyway let’s get on with our not-so social interview since I’m only technically socializing with you via the keyboard and nothing else.
Q: You’re so funny, do you speak like this in real life?
A: Of course not. This is the cyber world, nothing’s real. But I’m trying to be as real as one could ever be...
Q: But are you really okay now? Everyone’s worried about you.
A: Haha. Yes, I’m feeling so much better thanks. I was a little worried about myself too but I’m at peace with myself now. And just to let you know, it’s okay to be sad and it’s okay to cry. Most importantly, it’s okay to admit that you have rough days and nobody’s perfect.
Q: May we know what you’re up to now..?
A: I have so many things for me to do lined up one weekend after another. But I’m also looking forward to a lot of fun things...I will update as and when necessary.
Q: You must be very busy with the upcoming wedding...
A: I am. And I’m just so excited about it. Have you seen my ticker? You wouldn’t miss it because it’s so obvious. My own ticker gives me the shivers. Don’t tell me I have two months left to be 'single'?
Q: Are you happy?
A: Honestly? I am. Every day I’m happy for all sorts of different reasons. Yesterday I was happy because he gave me a call at an unexpected hour. The day before I was happy because my mom cooked my favourite dish for dinner (and totally sabotaged my so-called diet). On Monday I was happy to see the many, funny pictures from the baby shower. Today I’m happy because I just bought a packet of Famous Amos cookies. I'm not saying life is made out of all things sweet but the message is that, if you want happiness, you've gotta find it. And accept it in whatever form.
Q: But you sounded so...
A: sad? I was and probably still am but that doesn’t stop me from being happy at the same time. Every time I think about people who are less fortunate than me, I feel thankful and grateful. I’ve never failed to feel that way, thank God.
Q: so...
A: Sometimes I’m just disappointed with myself. It doesn’t have to be with somebody. And when I’m mad, it doesn’t mean that I’m mad at somebody. For all you know, I could be frustrated or annoyed with myself. :)
Q: This interview is definitely one of the most boring interviews I’ve ever done.
A: Thank you. I’m sleepy too. Your uncertainties bore me.
Q: I wasn’t being uncertain ok. You did not want to answer personal questions. So what do you expect?
A: ZzZzzZzz....I suck at 'staying up'. I've always, always slept early. Since Uni. I've never burned the midnight oil... *yawn yawn yawn*

rainy days
I’ve never been a victim of the so-called Monday blues so whatever I felt yesterday had nothing to do with the blues. I’m only human. No matter how hard I try to pretend or no matter how much I restrain myself from writing about things that bother me, I can’t help but let it slip. A little. “It’s not always rainbows and butterflies” for me too. There are so many things that I so ‘conveniently’ just realized yesterday and the realization hurts. Truth hurts. And the truth is, at the end of the day, you realize that the only two persons in this world who will love you unconditionally and go out of their ways to make you happy are your parents. Always be thankful you have them in your life. I love mine with my heart and soul.
Maybe I’m just being moody, overly emotional, overly sensitive and just a pain in the ass, but I know that even if 70% of the time I don’t make sense, the 30% left makes it painful enough. Admit it. All of you know that you haven’t been playing your respective roles. All of you know I did so much more for all of you than you could ever do for me. All of you know you have disappointed me in one way or another. All of you know I deserve better than this. You are all just so wrong in so many different ways. And you know it.
Sunday was Fifie Fiona’s baby shower. We played the usual games and it was just so much fun! And I won a prize – for correctly guessing the size of the mom-to-be’s tummy. At first I panicked because I cut the ribbon pretty short but ended up I was the closest to the real thing. Ngehehe. I had so much fun with the lovely bunch of people.
On a sad note, I won’t get to see my fiancĂ© until the end of this month. On a brighter note, at the end of this month, he will be back for good. For now at least. On a non-relevant note, I just want to be alone right now.

signed,sealed,delivered...not yours just yet
It is such a huge thing for the both of us. For him, especially. I told him that there’s no turning back because my name is printed on the letter. Yeah, trust me to get all emotional over a piece of letter from the Department. But, I’m sure you would feel the same way too, when it’s your turn. I’m not kidding! Every single detail is just so precious and momentous. And it will add the number of butterflies in your stomach. Excited, scared, nervous, sad, happy…I’m just one big ball of emotions. (As always)

the trouble with staying in shah alam
Driving past the buildings and streets that used to bring me so much joy, I’ve been missing my UiTM days more than ever lately. In fact, I could not recall a moment I was ever unhappy in Uni. Everything was made out of rainbows and fluffy blue clouds. No wonder all I get is a happy vibe. Alhamdulilah, I’m blessed.
I remember my first (and last) ride on the bus, from my faculty to Kolej Melati. The faculty I’m referring to is the ‘old’ one, before we moved back to the one next to PTAR 2. It was just a short distance but I took the bus just for the fun of it.
I remember the songs we listened to in my Kelisa. Stuck by Stacie Orrico, Immortal by Evanescence, Bila Rindu by Ruffedge. Haha. I remember it SO SO SO clearly, I could even picture myself with the songs on the radio doing a u-turn in front of Baiduri. My memory of the happy days is THAT vivid.
I remember PTAR 1. Because throughout my years as a student, I only went there once. I remember choral speaking during pre-law. We had to perform in the cafeteria, in front of the Dean’s office, in the auditorium…It was to promote PB’s English Week. The opening line was “Hear ye hear ye”. I must’ve looked pretty silly.
I remember our drama for English class – and the drama in the drama. Haha. It was so interesting! Both dramas, I mean. And for English too, we had a debate entitled “Gourmet food is better than fast food”. My team was against it so that means we had to say that fast food is better than gourmet food (which I totally agree because I’m a fast food junkie). Masa debate ni jugak lah I remember somebody (who shall not be named hehe) said “you know, kuih jemput-jemput…”. The way he said it was so funny, it still cracks me up until this very day.
I remember sitting for exams in the ‘exam hall’ at Level 6. The buzz and hype of students waiting outside the hall before an exam starts. (Kids, this is not the best time to revise or discuss with your friends. Just zone out please and enter the hall with confidence walaupun nervous and rasa macam nak pergi toilet 10 kali). The first time I sat for a paper, I forgot my exam slip. I was traumatized and since then, the exam slip was almost attached to my body every time the final exam starts.
I remember Cempaka/Kenanga or fondly known as CK. It was here that our love developed. Cehhhh..hehe. I remember having a ‘fight’ with him before an exam, I remember ignoring him completely in class, I remember walking fast and not turning my back when he called my name, I remember passing by his class with the hope of catching a glimpse of him…ok this is a different story. Another story for another day. It’s just so hard you see, because I met the love of my life in Uni so of course most of my memories and memories of us are entwined.
I remember McD seksyen 3, oh who doesn’t? It’s my very own historical building. If anybody were to tear it down I’d fight for it with what little strength I’ve got. I had meals with friends, lovers (eh kenapa plural? Haha) lover, lecturers, parents, siblings etc. The place witnessed oh-so-many things. If the walls could speak, man, it would not stop talking for the next 10 years!
And what about the Photostat shop in seksyen 2 with the super kind grandma? Ahhh rindu even though parking in seksyen 2 was and stil is, hell. When I was in that shop lah, I first saw (kononnya) Zaki in his car, because at that time I didn’t know what car he was driving (masa ni belum together ok). It turned out to be KN! Haha, because they both used to drive Satria kan so I was confused.
I remember Baiduri and all its parking woes. I remember Menara for many reasons…Convocation, classes, exams, Carpe Diem, dikir barat (omg, where’s the video??). There are just so many things I remember about Uni. Still so many things in my mind right now but I can’t write them all here. It would take me all day. Belum masuk Honours, parking in HEP, orientation in Seroja, the stress of trying to register online for our classes before every semester (I even cried once because I was so frustrated with the system haha), campaigning for Din, class trip to Teluk Kemang, Kesatria (wakaka), him at the Photostat booth near DK A (before it was turned into the posh office we have now), him him him everywhere…Sigh. I’m laden with memories. Especially so now that I’m retracing my step, revisiting the places I used to go to, facing a bunch of mad drivers daily (students drive like maniacs), lagi lah I’m feeling so nostalgic. I will write it ALL down one day, as much as I could remember. So that I can always look back and refresh my memory when I’m old(er).
Thanks for the memories. :)

The Decision
So what I’m going to share with you today is about the decision.
I’ve never really talked openly about how it happened. We didn’t plan it at all. Sure we talked about marriage before but it was never serious. Yes, it was definitely something we both wanted for our relationship but we didn’t have anything in mind yet. But even though we didn’t plan it, I believe He planned it for us. He planned it with a twist of fate. And we all believe in fate, don’t we?
It happened right after he was transferred to Kedah – a situation I’ve never imagined myself to be caught in. I thought the misery would be too much for me to handle. And I guess it would have been, if that fateful morning didn’t turn out the way it did. We were having breakfast together (one of my favourite meals to share, by the way) at our usual farewell spot. The place was not fancy at all. He didn’t see it coming. I didn’t see it coming. We were just talking on and on about God knows what when suddenly, we just made the decision together! He went along the lines of “let's get married” which sounds totally drama melayu but absolutely the sweetest thing to my ears. He did not ask, I did not answer. We both agreed to take the leap and made the decision in five minutes. I took out my phone and checked the calendar and found my perfect date. It’s funny how things work sometimes, and it was never funnier than that day. Like I’ve always said, it’s like the whole force of the universe came together for us (cehhhh but biar la!). Suddenly we got super excited about it and started grinning like two mad cows and there were butterflies in my tummy. The way I look at it, it was something we both knew would happen eventually because we would’ve wanted nothing less for what we have, so it was never a question of whether I’d say yes or not. It was a decision to be made together and we both came to that decision at the right place and the right time. I will never forget that morning. With my sleepy eyes and kosong face, I may not have looked my best but dalam hati, I was just buzzingggg. The whole body automatically shifted its mood. My face felt hot from all the restraining I had to do. I had to restrain myself from jumping up and down. I had to restrain myself from breaking into tears. (Actually, tears tu dah ada since morning because remember, it was our farewell breakfast? hehe) Just because there was no ring, or candles or soft music, it does not make it any less special or perfect for me. To me, it was just about the best thing that could ever happen in my life (before the wedding, that is…hehe).
It was fate who proposed to us. Fate can only take you so far, because once you’re there, it’s up to you to make it happen. It’s so true! His transfer was an eye-opener. There’s definitely hikmah behind the distance. Who knows, maybe if he’s still here in KL, we’d still be taking our own sweet time and not decide on marriage yet. I guess we would never know. There’s a reason behind everything and maybe His reason for separating us is to make us come to this realization? Only He knows. And now that we’ve made this decision, we pray and hope that that is His plan for us too.
So yes, there you go. The proposal, decision, or whatever you call it. It was different. The approach was totally practical, straight-forward. Hehe. Would I have wanted it to be done in any other way? Definitely – if I was in love with another man. But I’m not and this man that I DO know - I know him too well to know that he is not the romantic kind or the kind who would be able to keep a surprise to himself. He’d probably end up asking me how to surprise me! Hehe. But I know this is what I’m in for, and because of that, I wouldn’t want to change it for the world. As long as he did it with utmost sincerity, I am all yours baby! All yours.
Ps: maybe lepas kahwin I can force/bully him to write my name in the clouds or rent a billboard or get down on his knees with a ring or take out a one page ad in The Star or something. Hehe. But I know, out of all the things I may be, ridiculous I am not.

granted
(totally random) By the way, just to set the record straight, yes my fiance bought a new car months ago with the help of his dad. And in no way was my parents involved in the purchase. Funny because some people thought it was a gift from my parents for the engagement. HAHHAHA... If he chose to be with anak Menteri or anak Raja maybe he can get it for free lah but with me? I don't think so! Ever! My parents are still sane.
(more random things) I read Neesa's blog entry about what the waitress at Sushi King Alamanda told her. Neesa was told that most of the food items served at the restaurant is not halal. Right after I read her post, Kak Tinie told me a similar story. She went to Sushi King yesterday for lunch with Kak Fiena and this time, the manager himself informed her about the same fact. However, she told me that the manager was super duper freaking rude to her and Kak Fiena! He did not smile even once, and the way he put it was like as though he was telling them off. I yang dengar cerita pun membara. He was just very very rude. My theory is that, since the workers just found out about the fact that the products they have been serving is not halal, they (or maybe just the Manager) have tendered their resignation letter and now waiting for their last few days of work to end. Therefore, the Manager did not mind if he was being rude or emo or a gangster to the customers because he's leaving the company anyway! So, complain all you want to the top boss, he's not afraid. That's my theory lah because if not, why else would he want to be so so so so rude to them? Ni rude yang tahap tak masuk akal, macam nak marah kita je, padahal we are the customers and we are paying for the expensive food! It's so difficult to write what he said here because maksud tak sampai, you gotta see the lakonan semula by Kak Tinie. At one point, lepas the girls kena 'sound' by the Manager for wanting to eat there (hello, weird kan??!), he came up to them and said "Wasabe dah habis ambik?" to which Kak Tinie replied "No, I nak ambil lagi" to which he said (with pure kerekness) "Letak balik wasabe (on the conveyor belt)" as though they were his servants and he was instructing them to do something as a superior. Hishh, serious I'm the one who's angry now. I mean, it doesn't matter what problems you have with the management or company but treat others (not just because they are your customers), treat other human beings with respect lah! See, that's why I keep telling you people, I hate disrespectful people and this is just a plain everyday example! Respect others in all aspects lah. If I were there, I swear things would have gotten really ugly. I tau la I'm not strong or whatever to 'fight' with him, but I know I'm the type who can't contain my anger! That is, if I'm really angry. Lupa dunia jap. Once, I confronted this 'manager or anak boss or somebody' at Syed Seksyen 3 because he was rude. I was sitting with Zaki in the air-conditioned part of the restaurant (they used to have it) and slowly other patrons who were in the same room finished up their food and started leaving. And lastly tinggal just me and him. I still had a glass full of teh ais ok. And then this dude came in and simply switched off the lights, fan and air-cond in the room! He obviously saw us there as the switch box was just next to our table. I was so angry I got up from my seat and went to the counter (where he was seated) and gave him a piece of my mind. I can't stand rude people and rude service.
But anyway, I'm feeling on top of the world right now. Hehe. Start conjuring up theories of your own, people, I can't wait to hear your version. :)

a proper one this time...
Haha, Ok, let’s get back on track. This year’s open house was on a larger scale because it was sort of a housewarming too, since most of the people who came that night have never been to the house. But myyy, there were just SO many people. I don’t even know half of the people who came that night! And they don’t even know me! It was also, the first time ever that we ran out of food! Tak pernah ever okayyyy. It was very much like a kenduri kahwin. Damn tiring.
It started at 6 p.m.with Dinie, Helmy, baby Azalea and Fairuz being the first few ones to arrive. I know I invited my friends from 6 p.m. onwards, but I wasn’t even ready by 6 p.m. Hair and make-up were sponsored by somebody so I thought, why not! Plus I knew that I would be sweating like mad the whole night long and it wouldn’t help if I just put on my own make-up or did my own hair. After that, more friends came. I’m glad the best friends came early. You guys were really smart because the food semua still fresh and hot! Next time, please come early if you want to taste the superb lamb!! Hehe. I managed to join them for a plate of lamb (thank God I took the lamb first, because after that, the lamb dah habis!). And that was all I had for the whole night…
Many people took pictures of the house, with the house, in the house and everywhere lah. I hope there won’t be another e-mail after this, showing the interior of “somebody's" house. Yes, a few entries ago I wanted to blog about this but malas. And now I’m still lazy to do it but I’d just do it very briefly. You can read my brother’s note on this in fb. To cut the story short, there’s an e-mail circulated on the internet with a single picture of a house and that house is ours, not Khir Toyo’s. Whoever took the picture and forwarded it to their friends are losers. If I dapat e-mail macam tu, I takkan pun nak forward to people. Now that the stupid people have forwarded it, memang the e-mail is widely circulated la. Some of my friends got the email too. It’s embarrassing to be wrongly associated with this political game. Get your facts right before you start circulating such pictures please. You are infringing our privacy as we do not want curious strangers to pass by our house just to ‘check it out’. It’s irritating. I told my parents that we should put a huge sign outside the house stating “This is NOT (insert name)’s house. You’ve got the wrong lane. His is the other lane parallel to ours. Bye and good riddance.” With an arrow pointing to the right direction. So if you’ve received the email, help me by sending the email back to the sender stating the right fact. Do not mention our names though. Thanks.
That night, my stolen phone was returned to me. Not by the thief but by someone else. That someone else and her siblings played a huge role in getting the phone back. And I am ever so grateful to them. In my earlier post I wrote that I will mention the thief’s name in full here, but I’ve decided otherwise. I’ve come to my senses. I’m not doing this because of her, but because of her family. They have been nothing but nice to me. They saved her. We knew it all along it was her. She never had a chance. Don’t mess around with a bunch of ‘lawyers’ lah. But I got it back, Alhamdulilah! I think I will give it to my mom or my dad as they bought me the replacement phone on the same day that I lost my phone.
Yesterday was my uncle’s turn to have an open house and I really made it a point to enjoy the food this time. In fact, my whole family did the same thing. Hehe. Revenge is sweet (and delicious!). I’m supposed to eat a little today but I don’t think I can survive lah. I will eat a little tomorrow. :p

more on raya
After sahur, don’t expect to sleep until about 7 a.m. because the aunties would be busy gossiping away! Yak yak yak, because we had to share the same ‘living room’, it was usually very difficult for me to go back to sleep listening to their high-pitched voices. Orang Penang cakap macam nak gaduh right? Hehe. On the first day of raya, there would be a massive jam outside the two available bathrooms. Yes, only two, to be shared by berapa puluh orang. Massive jam kalah Federal Highway. And just like what one would normally do to avoid traffic jams, wake up early and go go go! I was one of the usual early-birds, obviously, not to your surprise. Another highlight of the morning would be everyone going up down left right to get ready. The girls would be busy putting the make-up on. Ohh, and yes, time to take out all your gelang bling blings darlings! Haha. Raya je, have to wear something gold. It’s a must, even until today, even though I’m not much of a ‘pakai barang’ person, I still oblige just to keep the tradition alive. Thank God now the jewelleries are much nicer and modern. If not, rantai ‘pound’ lah jawabnya. We all have one. Do you have one too? Hehe. After all the chaos has died down and sembahyang raya dah habis, time to sit around in a circle again for raya breakfast! Somebody will recite the doa and then nyam nyam nyam off we go. Yes, eat first, salam later. Hehe. Oh I just loveee raya breakfast with nasi impit and ayam masak merah (my favourite!).
Once the plates have been cleared, my grandparents would sit on the sofa and we would all line up to salam-salam, cry and all the drama plus time to collect duit raya! I used to be able to rake in at least a thousand ringgit for raya alone! I miss those days. And then we would all go out to beraya – sometimes together, sometimes separately. My family used to go to Bukit Mertajam to beraya at my father’s side when his mother and grandmother were still around. On the first night of raya, we would be at home, entertaining guests. Same goes to the second day but usually on the second day, my grandmother’s Chinese siblings and their children and grandchildren would come to beraya at the house. It’s totally different from KL lah, no matter what people say. You cannot try to ‘recreate’ the kampong feel in KL. It’s just not the same. But we can try. Back in Penang, I had a reason to wear new clothes everyday because memang everyday busy. Here in KL, well, I can recycle my clothes, no problem. Woohoo.
Tonight we’re going to eat good foood (again!). Ohhh, how in the world am I going to maintain this weight? Oh my oh my. Yes, I mean it when I say ‘maintain’. Because previously, it was a little bit difficult for me to find the right size. With my current weight, I can fit into all the dresses I tried on at all the bridal shops! Really! Except for the length la, but otherwise, macam custom-made. Best gila. I’m so happy. :))) By the way this is definitely not going to be the last post on raya because once open house dah start in full swing, I'll update on that too. After all, raya sebulan!

uno dos tres
This was in 2007. Kak Tinie just got married to Cat and was expecting her first child. Meq was just about to get engaged. Kak Anis was not seriously involved with Nazrin yet. As for me…well, I can’t share it here but I remember this period. It was tough. But I pulled through. No wait, we pulled through. :)This was last year – 2008. It was one of the best buka puasa session ever because we managed to persuade all our studs to join us, even though they ended up being so quiet as we laughed too much. They aren’t half as funny as we are. ;p Changes? Kak Tinie became a mother of one cute daughter, Meq got married to Ajee and was pregnant with lil Farel, Kak Anis started wearing tudung, Ayu was in a relationship with Acip, I was without any title but ever so happily in a relationship with Kiki. Hehe.

And this year! Kak Tinie now wears the hijab/tudung, Meq is a yummy mummy, Kak Anis is married, Ayu broke off with her boyfriend (kids, sheesh! ;p) and I am engaged to be married! ps; I am still waiting for a proper group photo. For now, just us two. ;p
I wonder what would the changes be for next year? It’s interesting and amazing to observe these changes and to know that we’ve been through every step together makes it even sweeter!
How do you make a friendship last? Treat your friends like family. Love ‘em, hate ‘em like family. Need ‘em like you need your family. And then everything else will follow suit. Our little family is definitely growing! Can’t wait to share the many special days ahead with each and every one of you.
Oh by the way, we can definitely go to Pizza Uno again. Enjoyed the baked pasta tremendously! Darling fiancé, I will bring you there soon okays. Good pasta, good company, perfect night out.
I am feeling rather sentimental now that there is only four days left of Ramadhan (including today!). Terlalu cepat. Terawih pun I missed a few days. There is more to Ramadhan than just fasting. For me, it means so much more. Tak payah la nak emotional here kan, nanti people will say ‘enough already!’. Just allow me to be sentimental. And let’s all pray that we are able to welcome Ramadhan again next year. It’s not over yet and already I’m missing it. Haha.
There's a majlis berbuka puasa today at our house. Good foooood. Bye.
