So how’s Ramadhan treating you so far? Or how are YOU treating Ramadhan so far? As for me, Alhamdulilah, so far I have managed to fast without much problem…except that I only skipped two days. The first time I had to break fast because I was having one of my extreme headaches again (I’ve never gotten real bad headaches before but ever since I got pregnant, I’ve experienced headaches yang melampau-lampau). The second time is today! I have a sore throat and every time I swallow, yeah it hurts. I feel feverish too so before I get really sick, I better drink up lots of water. It’s a definite sign of dehydration and pregnant moms should avoid being dehydrated. Plus I don’t want to hear my husband nagging at me about it. I swear, he’s the happiest when I tell him I can’t fast. I can’t even utter a single word of complain. If I say ‘my tummy hurts a little lah’, he’d go all mak nenek on me, scolding me for not caring about the baby’s health. If it were up to him, I wouldn’t be fasting the entire month. So the moment I feel like I’m not up for it (fasting), then I’d voluntarily break fast. Terawih, Alhamdulilah, on and off. On my good days I’ll definitely join the rest but on my bad days I just have to rest and sleep early. Sleeping at 9 pm is nothing new to me since June.
I love bloggers who blog about Ramadhan food. You know, the blogger writes about what she had for buka puasa the day before and what she plans to have for buka and sahur that day. Of course, entries accompanied with the actual pictures are much appreciated! I just find it interesting to find out what others prefer to have during buka puasa. Share with me your buys at the pasar Ramadhan, I love that one too. I wish I am rajin enough to blog about my daily buka puasa dishes too. Maybe I’ll give it a try…all I have to do is snap a picture or two and describe what I had right? And let me tell you, the best buffet spread for me, is still the spread at my house! I know everyone feels the same about home-cooked meals. Kan? Nothing beats eating at home. Haih, it’s all just about food with me lately - even though I have not been eating to my maximum capacity this time around. Just last night I was having a conversation with my husband on baby names and I mentioned that one of my colleagues named her baby Hussein. I quickly said “It’s a nice classic name tapi nanti orang ingat mee Hussein pulak”. To which he replied “I was about to say macam Faizal Hussein…you ni fikir makannnnn je”. Mee Hussein is a stall operating by the roadside at USJ and it sells the meanest mee goreng mamak in Subang! *slurp* It’s not my fault that the first thing that came to my mind was mee Hussein, I mean who would’ve thought of Faizal.Hussein?
I have just realized that there are so many ladies around me that are pregnant right now and their babies are due in 2011 as well. And I’m sure there will be many more coming soon. My close friends pun dah berapa ramai, not counting the potentials, Jaja, Neesa, Bats et al. (hehe Aminnn) Oh my, cepat lah abolish UPSR and PMR. So much pressure! Hehe. I will not blog about my kids’ exam results so don’t ask. It’s an early disclaimer yeah. Ok, the point is, masih blog ke 12 years from now? Hehe. Don’t worry baby, mummy’s going to spend a fortune on your tuition fees, so that you can save mummy’s face. Hehe. Just kiddinggggg! Don’t worry, if you don’t do well, there’s always college. But really, 2011 insya Allah is going to be a year full of babies! So much fun. :)
My throat is really killing me softly, I need to rest now.
