space out

I'm back in the office after 3 days in ILKAP. I attended a course entitled Perlembagaan Undang-undang Sivil dan Syariah. There were some really enlightening and interesting moments...I learned a lot of new things. We looked at issues from both perspectives and hearing the experienced speakers talk from the syariah perspective really opened my eyes! Ok, even though apa lah sangat yang you can digest in three days, but at least it's better than nothing. Remember, one's learning process is never ending kan? But it was a bit lonely as I was the only one from drafting and the rest were all quite senior officers. They were nice and I mingled but just how much can a super junior talk about something she's totally clueless about? I'm just glad to be back in the office because I've got a few pending matters to settle. And yes, Parliament has started this week. Initially, I was scheduled to go to Parliament on the 30th but because I have another course to attend (yeap, another one...and that means 4 courses in a span of 3 months!), I have rescheduled my 'maiden' appearance in Parliament to the 18th of next month. Drafting officers have to take turns to go to Parliament. What do we do in Parliament? *secret* :) No lah, actually I'm too lazy to explain. Basically, at the end of the day we have to prepare a report.

Dinie got married last week. Congratulations! I went for the akad and reception and on both occasions the bride looked wonderful! Seri pengantin, you call it? Is there such a thing as seri tetamu majlis kahwin? Because it would be such a waste if you only get to be berseri once in your life...and it would be unfair for people like me, who's not getting married yet. I would SO love to have that glow. But I guess, that's why it's special kan? It happens only once in a lifetime and you're supposed to cherish that moment! If anybody can have the glow on demand then, how would you differentiate between the bride and non-brides? See, I've always said that nobody could be prettier than the bride on her wedding day. Even if they tried. Because brides will just look different, somehow! So bride-to-bes shouldn't be so obsessed with their flower girls overshadowing them and what not...

And I hate myself for not bringing along my camera to yesterday's JALSOA open house! JALSOA is like, 'law society' in UiTM la...but it is a combination of both judiciary and legal service. So I met my Court friends like Azali and the SARs I got to know during my attachment in Shah Alam..and the rest from Jabatan, Ministries and all that...so it was really nice to meet up with them! :) But yeah, sadly, no pictures of that event!

Later alligator.
