Thank you for leaving your email addresses for me to consider. Although it has not exceeded blogger’s official limit, I have decided to limit the number of readers on my list. Therefore, priority will be given to my family, best friends, friends, colleagues, acquaintances who frequent my blog. Those who only occasionally visit this space won’t miss much right? :) After all, if you want to ask about my wellbeing or what I’m up to once in a while there’s always email, facebook, text messages… So let’s give a chance to those who actually enjoy reading my sweet nothings and keep coming back to this page almost every day tanpa putus asa. Hehe. Thank you! Macam campaign pulak. At the end of the day, remember, this is just a blog, it’s not the benchmark for anything. This is just a space where we all (or at least I do?) pretend that we’re still in high school and life is nothing but just a big outing to Sunway Pyramid. You won’t die if you don’t get to read other people’s blogs. I have experienced my favourite blogs going private (without being invited, of course) and I survived. Unless of course, if you let other people’s blogs rule your life and your entire existence relies on that person’s entries then oh my God, go get help! I can’t wait to go private!
It’s taking longer than it should be (to go private) because I’ve been such a procrastinator these days and yes, that is news, because I’ve never been the procrastinating kind. I am the ‘bugging’ kind (re: I bug people to death). But since this is ‘myself’ I’m dealing with, I’ve been lazy beyond words. Let’s take an example. I was assigned to complete a task. A task that I’m familiar with and could be completed in under an hour. But no. I stared at the piece of paper for a full 15 minutes. And then I made a progress. I took off the staple from the edge of the papers. It was such an achievement for me that I thought I deserved a pat on the back and so I sat back and stared again. More staring. And more, with some cookie break in between. Then slowly, I stood up, dragged my feet to the photocopy machine about half a minute away from my place. Since the printing room isn’t really ideal for staring, I proceeded making copies straight away. Back to my place. Tired. Gosh I’ve done so much in a day already! I think this can wait ‘til after lunch. Hehe. After lunch, I sorted out the papers. Got my pen, pencil and ruler ready. And then I waited. For some divine sign from up above telling me to MOVE IT. But it never came. So I never did complete the task. Kidding! I still stared for a lil while and then I lifted the pencil and started drafting. It was only an hour or two later that I submitted the work to my superior. Done. I deserve a medal! I know I could easily blame the hormones for this behaviour but I don’t like to point fingers. :p
By the way have you heard of ikan bilis mata biru? (Blue-eyed anchovies haha diva betul) I’ve never heard of it until yesterday, as I was walking past some staff’s cubicles and I heard them talking about anchovies being expensive these days. And one staff said “Mahalnya! Ikan bilis mata biru kot!” And I laughed. I thought that was a really witty reply. But then I saw their faces were serious and nobody was laughing. O-kayyy…awkward moment. I told myself ‘just keep swimming, just keep swimming’. Until I reached my place and googled immediately. There is such a thing as ikan bilis mata biru!!! And there I was thinking the staff had a good sense of humour. So now that’s something new that you’ve learned from my page today.
