The year-end sale is evil. Just because it's the end of the year and it's the holiday season and it's also the 'generous' season, it doesn't mean that they have the right to lure us into buying things that we already have or we don't really need. I know there's no compulsion in retail therapy but there's this thing called impulse-buys! Just because it's on sale, we'd be stupid to miss the opportunity right? Just because it's 50% off-look-oh-my-god-it's-only-RM60-after-discount, it doesn't mean we.need.to.get.it. But, of course just like everybody else, I'm also an idiot and a sucker for a 'good bargain' and so I bought 6 items last weekend alone. But kinda think of it, 4 out of which are office wear and office wear cannot be considered as a purchase because it's a necessity. And after all, I work to get paid to buy clothes for work, of which I will wear to work and will continue working to buy clothes for work. Weird, but justified. Hmm.
I have been in an extra merry mood because it's Christmas. I love Christmas. Places are extra beautiful and everyone's extra nice. I am extra nice, extra loved-up. I don't know, I've always loved Christmas and the holiday season. There's an all-round positive vibe kan? Or maybe it's because I will be on leave from Thursday onwards 'til the new year. :) That must be it! Hehe. I will be celebrating new year in Jakarta! I've celebrated new year in a few other countries before so I don't know how Christmas and New Year celebrations are like in Jakarta. And as for Malaysia, Mandarin Oriental's New Year's Eve celebration is the best, so far. (Not that I've been to any other hotels...;p) After all, I'm only into the countdown and fireworks part of the night so the celebration suited my style perfectly. I didn't have to jostle for a good view of the fireworks, I had my (free) party hat on, lots of comfortable sofas, free flow of food and drinks...you should try it. :)
Oh, breakfast time.
