bookend

I'm so nervous. The Bill's coming up any day any time now. Actually it was already tabled for first reading yesterday. But the second and third are always the most nerve wrecking. This is my first Bill so you must understand the anxiety. To see your words printed on the blue Bill and turned into what is commonly known as 'law', is quite a big deal don't you think so? At least it is so for me. I'm jakun like that.
I've been staying over at in-laws' place this week. It doesn't matter. Anywhere's the same for me as long as I'm not separated with my husband. Haha. :) We've only been married for 3 months now. Wow, masih pengantin baru ok! :) That explains why the honeymoon mood is still on. By the way, did you manage to catch my nephew on tv on 5 April? That's the main thing I miss most when I'm away from my parents' home. That little baby. I can't wait to see him tomorrow!! While I'm busy with work, my parents are having fun. Hmph. They're in Japan and it doesn't help that my mom keep sending me text messages gushing about the place. Apparently Japan is so amazing, with great stuff to buy, the best hotel with 10-star service and many more, and it's also a really expensive place. Yup, that I know. But still that doesn't stop me from reminding my mom to buy me lots of nice things. I'm so jealous. I hope they'd consider bringing us all to Japan next year for a holiday!
Random thought: Why do people who have more or do more, always talk less about the things they have or the things they do? :) And why is everyone becoming everyone else? In the blogging sphere especially. Everyone sounds the same. Everyone's singing the same tune. It's either I have this or you have that or I went here or you went there or I'm better at this or you're better at that or I bought this or you bought that or I can cook this or you can cook that or I sound more scripted than you are or you're a better story teller than I am and so on and so forth..It's so uninspiring sometimes. I'm guilty of that too, I guess. That's why lately I haven't taken the time to blog hop because I'm searching for something better to do and read. One of the ways is to do what I've always loved to do most - reading. Caught up in the internet world, I've been neglecting the one thing that has always truly been a reliable source of inspiration. I used to get all fired up and motivated just by reading books. I was hoping to get that kind of inspiration as well on the internet especially by reading blogs and other people's thoughts but that is not the case for now. So, back to the ol' reliable books. I'm done with the Lovely Bones more than a week ago. Thanks Is, for the suggestion. :) The other thing I might consider is going back to Nicholas Sparks. I haven't read The Last Song and ohh, I might even go for Nora Roberts' bride series. We'll see what happens this weekend.
Love love love! Bbye. :)

i get what u mean. every once in a while i stop reading other blogs/stop blogging when i realize that my writing style is influenced by other bloggers i.e. start using words others bloggers use or start writing in intonations that i know i would never write/speak like in real life.

i heard the movie lovely bones is good. dont think i have the energy to read another book. as it is i am struggling to finish eat.pray.love before the movie comes out. it is quite a good read!
