Without announcing it to the whole world, I have actually been cooking for my husband at home. *clears throat* Ok, now I am announcing to the world, albeit just the five or six of you but since you all are, technically my world (awww), it’s the same thing. I don’t cook every single day but I try to make it a point to cook at least once a week. That’s a good start, no? And by cooking I mean, I cook real dishes, and not just the two ‘famous’ recipes of mine ie; broccoli pasta and chocolate heaven (a modified, denial version of a cake batik haha). So far, most of my dishes have been chicken dishes with the most recent one being chicken masak not sure. But according to him it was delicious.
Just like me, he is also a big fan of desserts and cakes so now, I’m ‘expanding’ my ‘expertise’ to baking. And by baking I mean, I’m really going to learn how to bake cakes (and not just put it in the fridge ;p). Last night, with the help of my sister in-law who so willingly volunteered to get the ingredients for me while I was in the office, I baked my own version of a rainbow cake. Yes that famous rainbow cake that you see in blogs look soooo tempting kan? I’m definitely going to order it someday. So the easiest fastest way to get my hands on one is to bake! Mine didn’t turn out like that of course, but…I’m proud to say that it was definitely will-bake-again material! Everyone loved it and the cake was gone within an hour. And yes, Zaki ate the most. Just google for the recipe online and you’ll get it. Have fun trying! ‘Til my next baking escapade…
