Ok this is the latest and the last for today, I promise. Last Friday was a super busy day for me. In the morning I had to set up the meeting room so that everything will run smoothly on Saturday. Yes, I had to go to work on Saturday morning. So sad! Anyway, the room was not even half-ready by the time I left the office. I can’t stand slow-mos. Move baby move!! Sheesh. But I had to leave anyway because I promised to help out at the AGM pulak. It was so tiring lah, takde mood langsung! After the AGM, we had a gala dinner held at the same venue. The theme was 'Arabian Nite'. Tu lagi lah. It was only a few days prior to the event that we received some sponsored tickets. We, no, actually I, had no time and energy to rent a costume. It was such a bummer because I would have loved to actually follow the theme and make some effort to dress up! Haha. Initially, I was still reluctant to go despite getting a free ticket. It was only when my boyfriend decided he could make it to the dinner that made everything else seemed a lot less important – especially the costume part. Hehe. So what did I do and how did I come up with that dress? I raided my closet and thank God I remembered that I have something a little ‘Arabian’ hidden somewhere. Tadaa – keluar lah that orange dress dated in 2008. Never worn before, never felt like wearing it before, but now finally worn, albeit once, for a few hours. My mom will never have a reason to nag me about that dress. Cukup syarat. There were so many people with beautiful costumes that night. Teringin nak pakai but oh well...what to do. Maybe next time.
The next morning I had trouble waking up, obviously. Honestly, this must be the umpteenth time I’ve said this, but I want to sleep in. I want to sleep without having to set the alarm. I want to sleep and wake up at my convenience and laze on the bed for a few minutes before I actually get up to bathe. I don’t want to spring into action the moment I hear the alarm. :( Thank God I’m a morning person. Or at least, I’ve been trained to be one.
Ok shift focus. My officemate got married a few weekends ago, and another one is getting married next month. Congratulations to the both of you! The conversation during lunch hour centers around each other’s preparations and of course, we exchange notes. There’s nothing wrong to give suggestions to each other of places, packages, people we know. Be nice to each other, ambil berkat. Hehe. Have you ever heard of karma, baby? What goes around, comes around. So if you’re nice to others, insya Allah, God will be nice to you too. It’s only a matter of time. :) Tiba tiba motivasi. I’m so random. Padahal as I’m writing this, the context of ‘karma’ that I’m thinking of is when you’re searching for a parking spot in OU, after a few fruitless rounds of searching, suddenly there’s one empty space but somebody beat you to it despite the fact that he’s on the wrong side of the lane. And then you let it go, you let it pass, without being angry. (Annoyed, maybe) The next thing you know, there’s another parking spot just waiting for you. A reward for your patience. Hmm, does it make sense? It does to me. Who cares what it does to you? Haha. I’m so mean. I’m living up to my reputation. :)
OK OK OK. Enough for today. Too many things to say/write.
