Now, let’s have a proper open house update. I was angry yesterday hence the emo post. What I’ve learned is that, I am contented with my handful of real friends. No matter how people look at my friends, no matter what people say about them, they’ve never hurt me in any way, they’ve never been disrespectful, they’ve never made me angry or annoyed. They’ve always treated me, my family and my relationship with respect. It doesn’t matter if you look at them with one eye, or you make faces behind their backs and it doesn’t matter if you judge them in the first instance without even knowing who they are although it shows how very childish of you, or if they’re super freaking gedik, super freaking loud or super freaking pompous. All I know is that they are still a million times better than many of you.
Haha, Ok, let’s get back on track. This year’s open house was on a larger scale because it was sort of a housewarming too, since most of the people who came that night have never been to the house. But myyy, there were just SO many people. I don’t even know half of the people who came that night! And they don’t even know me! It was also, the first time ever that we ran out of food! Tak pernah ever okayyyy. It was very much like a kenduri kahwin. Damn tiring.
It started at 6 p.m.with Dinie, Helmy, baby Azalea and Fairuz being the first few ones to arrive. I know I invited my friends from 6 p.m. onwards, but I wasn’t even ready by 6 p.m. Hair and make-up were sponsored by somebody so I thought, why not! Plus I knew that I would be sweating like mad the whole night long and it wouldn’t help if I just put on my own make-up or did my own hair. After that, more friends came. I’m glad the best friends came early. You guys were really smart because the food semua still fresh and hot! Next time, please come early if you want to taste the superb lamb!! Hehe. I managed to join them for a plate of lamb (thank God I took the lamb first, because after that, the lamb dah habis!). And that was all I had for the whole night…
Many people took pictures of the house, with the house, in the house and everywhere lah. I hope there won’t be another e-mail after this, showing the interior of “somebody's" house. Yes, a few entries ago I wanted to blog about this but malas. And now I’m still lazy to do it but I’d just do it very briefly. You can read my brother’s note on this in fb. To cut the story short, there’s an e-mail circulated on the internet with a single picture of a house and that house is ours, not Khir Toyo’s. Whoever took the picture and forwarded it to their friends are losers. If I dapat e-mail macam tu, I takkan pun nak forward to people. Now that the stupid people have forwarded it, memang the e-mail is widely circulated la. Some of my friends got the email too. It’s embarrassing to be wrongly associated with this political game. Get your facts right before you start circulating such pictures please. You are infringing our privacy as we do not want curious strangers to pass by our house just to ‘check it out’. It’s irritating. I told my parents that we should put a huge sign outside the house stating “This is NOT (insert name)’s house. You’ve got the wrong lane. His is the other lane parallel to ours. Bye and good riddance.” With an arrow pointing to the right direction. So if you’ve received the email, help me by sending the email back to the sender stating the right fact. Do not mention our names though. Thanks.
That night, my stolen phone was returned to me. Not by the thief but by someone else. That someone else and her siblings played a huge role in getting the phone back. And I am ever so grateful to them. In my earlier post I wrote that I will mention the thief’s name in full here, but I’ve decided otherwise. I’ve come to my senses. I’m not doing this because of her, but because of her family. They have been nothing but nice to me. They saved her. We knew it all along it was her. She never had a chance. Don’t mess around with a bunch of ‘lawyers’ lah. But I got it back, Alhamdulilah! I think I will give it to my mom or my dad as they bought me the replacement phone on the same day that I lost my phone.
Yesterday was my uncle’s turn to have an open house and I really made it a point to enjoy the food this time. In fact, my whole family did the same thing. Hehe. Revenge is sweet (and delicious!). I’m supposed to eat a little today but I don’t think I can survive lah. I will eat a little tomorrow. :p
